In November 2015, Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) will mark half a century of its establishment. As a regional intergovernmental organization established among Southeast Asian countries, SEAMEO takes pride in its achievements over the years as Southeast Asian's leading organization in promoting regional cooperation and human resource development in education, science and culture.
On the occasion of SEAMEO's 50th year anniversary, the Organization is giving SEAMEO family members an opportunity to give everyone a trip down the memory lane through beautifully put together writing pieces. Therefore we are proud to announce the launch of the SEAMEO 50th Anniversary Essay Writing Contest.
The Contest is open to all alumni or current and former staff members of SEAMEO. We expect to receive touching, insightful and inspiring entries on memories related to SEAMEO. They should possess a level of uniqueness and creativity so that the narratives would attract immense reading interest as they draw recollections from the past. Following the given topic, writers can revisit some of their most memorable moments, events, or even their feelings and impressions coming from their personal experiences. Their stories can be told in the form of reflectional essays, or anecdotes.
