The ASEM Lifelong Learning Forum 2015 takes place in Bali, Indonesia on 10-11 March 2015 with a focus on renewing the LLL agenda in the context of changes of the educational landscape due to an increasingly globalised world.  150 international participants from Europe and Asia attend the forum, which is organised by ASEM LLL HUB, Department of Education, Aarhust University, Denmark, co-organised and cohosted by Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia/ASEM Education Secretariat. The forum has three main themes:

(1)  Defining global changes: What will be the defining challenges for lifelong learning in Europe and Asia in the 21st century?

(2)  Drivers for change: What drivers for change are are creating a revolution of the educational landscape – and where?
(3)  Learning cultures and change: What do the differences between Asian and European learning cultures mean for the methods and options for changing lifelong learning strategies?

SEAMEO CELLL Director has a presentation at the Forum. In his speech, he reminds the audience that SEAMEO CELLL was established following the recommendations from the ASEM LLL Conference in Nha Trang, Vietnam back in 2009, so actually ASEM LLL Hub is among the founders of SEAMEO CELLL. His presentation focuses on the need for a comprehensive LLL agenda for ASEAN countries in the context of ASEAN integration in 2015 to help ASEAN address critical development challenges and realise its aspiration of building a caring and sharing community. He also proposes to carry out a regional project to develop such an agenda based on national reports of ASEAN countries.
